TWG Flash Uploader
Is now available in version 2.10.5. All users of 2.10.2 or 2.10.3 should update to this version! I have implemented a cool upload verification in 2.10.2 but this was showing a ugly warning sometimes. I reimplemented this (Thanks to Eric for testing) and now it works pretty good. Additionally I added a detection if the session gets lost and how to fix this problem. I have improved upload of big files and fixed some minor bugs. Pleae check the history.txt for details.
The next important feature of TFU will be FTP support for managing directories.
Joomla Flash Uploader
Is now also available in version 2.10.5. TFU 2.10.5 is included and many improvements have been added again e.g.:
- The Joomla session is now refreshed on the upload page – so users are not logged out after a long upload.
- It’s now possible to define a profile for each or the 3 backend roles of Joomla.
- The tfu folder can be located in the site or the administration. This makes it possible to use a .htaccess file to protect the administration area im Joomla!
- Debuging is available in the administration.
In the next version of JFU I will add an administration for the post processing plugins where you already find 5 on the website.
Have fun using TFU/JFU,
Michael
Hi,
I discovered today that there is an issue when using Kaspersky Firewall and HTTP Uploads. Kaspersky is caching the uploaded file and returns to the client that the upload is already finished. In TFU/JFU this causes that the progress bar goes to 100% very quick.
I will add to the next update that the speed of the upload is checked. If the upload is too fast then a message is written to the flash. So the user knows that the upload is maybe not finished yet. I will then try to ask the server directly if the file is already there and tell the user when this is the case.
So if someone has this problem you have to disable the “transparent proxy” of kaspersky. And in the new Update of TFU/JFU this problem will be detected as well.
Here you find how to configure your firewall properly:

Hi,
I have now added the new feature that when an image is resized and not enough memory is available the script tries to increase the php memory dynamically.
This is now included in JFU/TFU 2.10.1 from the 26.09.2009 on.
But it is still better to configure the server in advance
Have fun using JFU/TFU.

Hi,
In the notification email it is possible to send the full url in the path. This feature was not supported for Joomla yet. Now this does work too. But it has to be directly enabled in tfu_config.php -> $upload_notification_use_full_path
Furthermore the user tab was shown at the bottom of the admin profile. This should not be there but it does not hurt either
.
This version is still 2.10.1 because the changes are only very minor.

Hi,
TFU 2.10 and JFU 2.10 are released now. The web pages are updated and everything is ready for download.
There are now a couple of new howtos (15-17) for TFU available and 5 post processing plugins on the plugin page.
TWG 1.7.8 will follow soon – I’m almost done with the website …
Have fun using TFU/JFU,
Michael

The language selector in 2.9.0.1 was only working for de, en, es. All other xml language files where not loaded anymore because of a bug fix at a wrong place.
Please update to this version asap if your version is affected.
You find the versions on the download pages.
Have fun with this release.

Hi,
Ther was a class naming conflict with JFU and ECJC Online Shop.
I have renamed the class and now they both work fine next to each other. Additionally I have forced that the en.xml is read all the time. This enabled to change the ui in all cases
.
The download has no new version number because the changes where very little. If nothing of the above is an issue for you you don’t have to update.
