I have finished the last tests and everything seems very good.

Therefore I uploaded the final of TWG 1.8 to the forum

Please note that the additional language files are not included in the download anymore. You can always download the latest versions from the website. You find a link in the forum thread.

When the new website will be online there will be a direct link in the menu.

TFU 2.10.7 can be downloaded now. It took quite a while because I extended the plugin part and you are now able to log each action!

• New: Upload of files with the size 0. This is not supported directly by flash upload. I do this by creating the file through a direct php call.
• New: Download of 0 KB files are now disabled because flash does not support this.
• New: Plugins are now called by file functions (e.g. delete, create folder) too. Check the updated plugins and the new help on the plugin page.
• Fix: $hide_hidden_files was not working properly because this settings was not used for actions like preview, delete… Please update to this version or don’t use this feature because at delete the wrong files would be deleted!
• Fix: The new zip class was not compatible to php 4.x – now it is.

PLEASE NOTE: The log plugins on the website are currently not compatible with this version. You have to open them an replace the function debug with tfu_debug.

Hi,

I have now created a patch to upgrate your existing version to TWG 1.8

I still recommend to do a new install and then to move you config files because This version has ~360 files less without loosing any functionality.

And I have a nice suprise for all registered users when I release the final with the new website.

The RC1 of TWG 1.8 is now available in the forum:

This version of TWG will use sprites to improve loading times (I have already removed 315 images without loosing any functionality!), has an impoved administration (e.g. I added the config parameters for sorting) and I added the new language strings for the new features of TWG 1.8.x
Please check your language file if it is fully translated AND the file language/language_default.php.

Translate it to your language and sent it back to me. The backend has some new translations as well – please check the folder admin/_languages if you can help to finish the translations there.

TWG 1.8 is already running in the AJAX-Demo on the website.

It looks like before but this version is now using sprites. Please report any problems to the forum. If nothing will be found in the next week I will put this version to the forum and you can already switch to this version if you like.

Hi,

I’m changing the buttons in TWG right now to use sprites (= one image where all images are picked from).

While doing this I have selected new icons for the fullscreen mode as well:

e.g. below is a new set which will be available in 1.8.

When I’m done with the sprits I will write a nice post how sprites can be easily implemented.  I have used 4 different ways how this can be done and as sad as it sounds – most of the turorials are using the most complicated way possible!

Hi,

I have updated TWG to version 1.7.8.1. This version has the following enhancements:

• New: Added $video_flv_buffer to video.php for videos that you can specify the buffer fors flv’s before a video starts
• New: Update TFU to 2.10.2
• New: Detection of not readable xml files. I try to delete the file and debugging this problem
• New: flush() after the header. The increases TWG because css and js files can already be loaded.
• Fix: FLV part was rewritten because it was still using code which was needed for older players. Now the code is up to date again.

This is only a minor update and therefore the download and the official version is still 1.7.8. You see that you have the new version in version.txt.
